Heartworms Can Affect Cats Too

Many people do not realize that cats can also be affected by heartworms, just like dogs.  Although it is less likely a cat will ever get heartworms, if they do, it can be deadly.

Heartworm Symptoms For Cats

  • intermittent vomiting (sometimes of blood as well as of food)
  • diarrhea
  • rapid and difficult breathing
  • coughing and gagging
  • loss of appetite
  • lethargy
  • weight loss
