2023 has arrived, and that means it’s a new year full of fun pet related holidays you can celebrate with your furry family members.
January at Companion Animal Medical Centre
January is Canine Appreciation Month here at our Cincinnati animal hospital! We’ll be celebrating by offering 50% off all canine exams for returning canine patients.
January 5th is Feline Friendly Day. We celebrate Feline Friendly Day every first Thursday of the month to raise awareness of our status as a proud feline friendly practice. We also offer free feline fecal screenings during exams held on Feline Friendly Day. Our next Feline Friendly Day will be held February the 2nd if you’d like to schedule your cat’s appointment in advance.
Month Long Celebrations
January is National Train Your Dog Month and National Walk Your Pet Month.
Consider celebrating by taking your pets for a nice walk if the weather permits or by training them in a new skill such as regularly brushing their teeth to protect against dental disease.
Pet Related Dates For January
January 14th is National Dress Up Your Pet Day. If you choose to celebrate by decking out your pet in their favorite outfit, we’d love to see it! Share your pet photos by emailing us.
January 21st is National Hug Day. While National Hug Day isn’t pet specific, there’s never a bad excuse to hug your pets.
January 22nd is National Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day. Celebrate by taking a few moments to explain to your cat why they can’t have an entire box of treats all at once or why they’re not allowed to chew on your house plants. Chatting with your cat strengthens your bond with them and helps them pick up new words.
January 24th is Change a Pet’s Life Day. If you’d like to celebrate Change a Pet’s Life Day, consider donating to a friend of Companion Animal Medical Centre such as Angel’s Paws, LuvFurMutts, or Clermont To The Rescue.
